about elements
Our Story
Elements Tumbling & Strength was founded by a mother–daughter team of national-level gymnasts united by a shared passion for high-performance movement and long-term athlete development.
Led by Sandra and Jada, our programs deliver elite and recreational tumbling + strength training with a focus on helping dancers and cheerleaders alike in preparing their acro elements for the competitive stage. We place strong emphasis on proper technique, safety, and clean performance.
At Elements, we believe elite movement is built - not rushed. Our training philosophy prioritizes strength, precision, and consistency, empowering athletes to develop their acro skills with confidence and seamlessly transfer them back to their home studios. Every athlete is coached with purpose and intention, in a supportive environment designed to nurture growth and guide them toward their highest potential.
Whether a new beginner or an experienced athlete, we are ready to guide all of our athletes through the essential progressions that safely lead to higher-level tumbling while enhancing flexibility, strength, and performance quality.
Our Philosophy
At Elements, we believe strength builds confidence, providing the physical foundation and mental assurance to attempt harder skills and push personal limits; technique builds longevity, ensuring movements are efficient, sustainable and reduce injury risk so athletes can progress safely over time; and discipline builds results, because consistent, focused practice turns potential into measurable improvement and lasting achievement.

Sandra Yip
FounderSandra’s journey in movement and performance began at the age of five, when she quickly advanced through the national high-performance gymnastics stream. She concluded her competitive career at 17 as a Junior high-performance athlete representing Ontario at multiple National Championships.
With over 30 years of coaching experience, Sandra now brings her expertise to the world of tumbling and acro development for dancers and cheerleaders. She has worked with athletes of all levels from young beginners discovering their first skills to high-level performers refining advanced technique. Her passion lies in helping dancers and tumblers build strong technical foundations, clean lines, body control, and explosive power that translate directly to the stage and competitive floor.
In addition to her NCCP Level 3 Gymnastics Coaching Certification, Sandra holds a Personal Training diploma (F.L.M.P.) from George Brown College. Her combined background allows her to create training programs that support both performance and longevity helping dancers and tumblers move with confidence, prevent injury, and build skills that last.
